Our
Egyptian Day at Castle Museum
On the 5th
of November we (Miss Hanton`s birthday) we went to the castle museum to learn
about the Ancient Egyptians. It was only KS2.
First there
was an argument about whether archaeologists should take artefacts from the
Egyptian tombs.
Next DR
Derry told us about shabtis, the gods Amun, Bes, Isis , Osiris and Horus.
After that
we went into a room where we did Time travelling. When we had time travelled we
pretended that to be Ancient Egyptians.
After a lady
told us about mummifying . We smelt
liquid the best smelling was Frankincense.
Finally we
went to make neck collars. We had to stick shiny pieces of paper on. It was
really fun.
We all had a
really fun day.
